Tuesday April 9, 2019-Rarieda MP, Otiende Amollo, has sent former Kakamega Senator, Dr. Boni Khalwale, to Malindi MP, Aisha Jumwa, to resign from ODM following the double loss in the just concluded by-elections in Ugenya and Embakasi South.
This is after Khalwale claimed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had lost grip of Kenyan politics following the loss and should just retire to Bondo; a statement that irked Otiende.
Speaking on NTV’s AM Live Show, Otiende asked Khalwale to tell the firebrand Malindi legislator to resign in order for a by-election to be conducted to see if Raila indeed has lost grip.
“Boni Khalwale, it is your turn to tell Aisha Jumwa to resign, accept her expulsion, so that we can go for a by-election and test her confidence with her not being in ODM,” said the MP.
According to Otiende, if Jumwa resigns, they will field a strong candidate on an ODM ticket who will clinch the seatby a landslide.
