Retired President Moi’s son and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is already forming alliances ahead of 2022 Presidential elections.
Moi who is keen on succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta said he is open for talks with anyone willing to join him in order to form a formidable alliance.
This already spells unease for DP William Ruto who needs to consolidate Rift Valley votes since that is his backyard.
“Everybody is my friend so there is no harm if anyone decides to approach me for visionary talks meant to take over leadership and drive this country forward,” Moi stated.
His sentiments come in the wake of political alignments and re-alignments following the much talked about handshake and NASA fall out.
Could he be wooing the disgruntled NASA Co-principals whose pleas for dialogue with Uhuru have flopped? Time will tell.
Already, the Senator has formed alliance with Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua who last week told Baringo residents that the two are already gearing up for 2022.
